Anti-wrinkle injections are used to relax muscles and treat medical conditions, such as excessive sweating, migraine headaches and muscle spasms.

Cosmetic treatments

With age, our skin becomes thinner, drier and we lose elastin. Over time fine lines form on our skin. Although wrinkles are a natural part of the ageing process, anti-wrinkle injections are an effective and safe procedure providing a refreshed appearance by softening creases and crows feet.

What are anti-wrinkle injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections use Botulinum Toxin Type A (commonly known as Botox) and is a specialised formula derived from a purified protein to safely target over-active muscles. Once the formula is inserted, it immediately begins to relax the specific muscle, resulting in fine lines and wrinkles to reduce, and in many cases disappear.

Where can anti-wrinkle injections be used?

The face is the most commonly requested area for anti-wrinkle injections, in particular around the eyes and forehead. However, these injections can also be used to minimise lines around the mouth, nose, chin and jawline.

How long does anti-wrinkle injections last?

How long the treatment lasts depends on the person and the location of the injection.  Generally, the treatment can last up to six months.
